Susan Lax Law Office
Do not use her. My Son has had a child custody case with her since last November. He is still paying child support and he has his children. He has asked over and over again to have the support stopped and she has done nothing. She keeps telling him she has the paperwork and comes up with excuse after excuse on not getting this done. This has been going on for 5 months now. We are ready to file a complaint with the Akron Bar Association.
She brought paperwork for another client the first time we went to court. The second and final time we went to court she fell asleep during the hearing. I had to tell her my case every single time we spoke, constantly reminding her of what my name was and what my case was about. She also has an ex lawyer as her "brute" that tries to manipulate people. Run away she actually denied falling asleep to me. The magistrate called her out. She should have her license revoked.
I don’t even know how to put into words how truly incredible Susan is not just as a lawyer, but as a person. About a year and a half ago, I called her in the middle of a snowstorm, completely overwhelmed and in tears. I told her I was stuck in a bad marriage, that I didn’t feel safe, and that I had no money, no support system, just a deep need for help. She didn’t hesitate. She told me to come in, even though she had no obligation to sit there and listen to me pour my heart out. She’s a lawyer, not a therapist, and yet that day she became so much more to me. She was a listener, a supporter, a guide—and over time, she’s become the aunt I never had but always needed. From the moment I walked into her office, she took immediate action. She didn’t just talk about legal steps—she pulled out her phone, made calls, helped me find a job, and guided me through getting financial assistance so I could start rebuilding my life. Today, I finalized my divorce. I sat in court beside Susan and cried the happiest tears I’ve cried in a decade. She looked at me and said, “You are an amazing woman. It’s time for you to live the life you deserve. I’m proud of how far you’ve come.” That moment will stay with me forever. Most lawyers just want their check they smile, nod, and move on. But not Susan. She genuinely cares about her clients. She’s one of the hardest-working, most compassionate people I’ve ever met, and I honestly don’t know how I would’ve made it through this divorce without the emotional support she gave me. And it’s not just Susan. The women in her office are equally incredible. Agatha, for example—she’s a force to be reckoned with. She’s that person who gets things done, fiercely and efficiently. She’s that woman—the one you absolutely want in your corner. I know this is a long review, and I’m really pouring my heart out here, but if you’re reading this and feeling lost, scared, or unsure—please, call Susan. You deserve to be happy. You deserve support. And Susan and her team will fight for you even when you don’t feel strong enough to fight for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
Susan and her team's dedication and enthusiasm shines through in every case she takes on and I wholeheartedly endorse her services. Thank you Susan for everything you have helped me with! I could not have done it without you! Thank you so much!
I highly recommend Susan Lax to anyone seeking legal assistance in estate and trust matters. Her expertise, commitment, and genuine concern for her clients make her an outstanding attorney. I am so grateful for her guidance and the favorable resolution she achieved for me.
