Had a 6-year case divorce case. The estate was worth about 9 million and ex was proven to have cheated with a working prostitute. Mrs Patrick dismissed my case intending to refile and did it WRONG. The opposing attorney told her TWICE that she was doing it the wrong way. As a result my entire case was dismissed. I had to allow her to fix her mistake . The NC bar has already agreed she did indeed mess up. She lost the appeal and Rule of 60 (do-over) cases. As a result...I got nothing- no child support, alimony OR retirement. She has the least amt of liability insurance an attorney can get (100k) and NOTHING is in her name. I paid her over 50K- she had to do an appeal and rule of 60 for free. She now has several attorneys representing her, and their attorney fees are paid by liability insurance. She refused to settle or discuss a settlement. I never felt she had my back, intentionally put things off, and was a terrible advisor. We never had a meeting before mediation; she was never prepared, and always seemed lost when appearing in court, and was dominated by the opposing attorney. I do not recommend using her !
Update…I had posted a good review, but I would like to rescind it, as things they promised they were going to do in my case weren’t actually done. Motions weren’t filed that they promised to file, and their stories weren’t congruent when asking them about it. I’m confident that truth will come out in time and that they will be held accountable for their actions, but I would discourage anyone from working with them in the meantime. They also brag about having close relationships with people the court deems as ‘third party experts,’ but it’s all a game. Hopefully, victims of abuse will one day get the justice that they are seeking. BTW, most victims aren’t even seeking justice, but for the abuse to stop. They only profit if the abuse continues.
As I started my divorce journey, in 2019, I was assigned Ethan Timmins. Ethan has stood beside me in my most uncertain and some of the most difficult times in my life, without hesitation. I have tried other law firms, prior to finding Ethan, and just wasted money and basically told to hand over all my money to my ex, because there is nothing they can do. I am a single mother that has had a really bad experience with this firm. I have decided to let Ethan’s representation go. He had a pattern of pressuring me into agreeing with terms and then not filing in contempts on multiple offenses concerning the custody and temporary custody agreement. He also lied about his contacts in TX as I agreed to have my 2 years old daughter go to visit her father with the confidence that Ethan knew a Private Investigator there, for months he confirmed the PI was set, then the night before my daughter was to fly out he sent an email that his contact did not have TX coverage. Be Aware.
