You let us waste our money and said you would help us get our dog back. You tried every way possible to get as much money as you can and then just completely stopped answering your phone. You are a disgrace

Called and spoke with a woman assistant on 4/24/24 who took my name, phone number and email.. she said I’d get a call back before the end of that day. It’s now 6 days later wand I haven’t received even a courtesy email as to why they were unable to reach out to me sooner.. I spoke with a different attorneys office and their assistant at the very least said the attorney couldn’t speak until May 1st. I appreciated their transparency more than getting stood up by this place.

I debated writing this review since my visit to Mr. Rosenthal's office May 2015 but I don't want anyone to go through what I did. His "office" is absolutely disgusting and just old, dingy with mounds of moldy crap in all corners. The receptionist wore pajama bottoms and he felt it fit to demean her in front of me because she failed to get adequate answers on the paperwork I had to fill out. Mr. Rosenthal's office is an old, filthy store front where "LAWYER" is advertised via a sidewalk sign. Basically this man played on my fears and emotions. He told me the person I wanted to be protected against could call the police and have the dog ripped from my arms at any moment. He wanted to pursue the case in supreme court. He was ADAMANT about pursuing (cost $3500 to proceed offensively, otherwise $365 an hour) because, he claimed, it would look better in court; otherwise I could be arrested immediately and the dog would be confiscated. Thankfully, my uncle is an attorney and was able to tell me the truth about how to proceed with keeping my dog safe so that the bullying, fear-inducing ways of Mr. Rosenthal wouldn't have had me shelling out $3000 for no REAL reason. Please, don't waste your time going to him. I know it;s difficult to find a lawyer specializing in animal law and unfortunately he isn't it.

Richard Rosenthal is very professional in his dealings with people. He is extremely helpful in what is often an anguished time for his clients. His willingness to assist anyone is outstanding. I would recommend him to anyone who has a dog in trouble.
