Very appreciative of all Darlene has done to help our family. She is a great advocate and not only works legally on your behalf, but also works to advocate for your cause. Without her help, we would not be able to bring so much attention to finding our brother. Thank you Darlene for all your support and care.

If you’re a woman looking for representation, please think twice before hiring Jessica Hess. During one of the most traumatic times of my life, I was representing myself against my abusive ex. I had full custody of my daughter because of his abusive history, and I filed a motion to protect her after she disclosed abuse by someone connected to him. Instead of professionalism or compassion, Jessica Hess openly taunted me. She smiled and laughed with my abuser in court, and even mocked me to my face—calling me a “slow reader” as I tried to review court documents the judge requested. I’ll never forget how humiliated and powerless that made me feel, especially when my focus was only on protecting my child. I understand that attorneys fight to win cases, but there’s a difference between legal strategy and cruelty. Her behavior crossed that line. If you are a woman in a situation involving abuse, I strongly encourage you to find someone who will treat you with respect and empathy. If you are an abusive man trying to intimidate your victim, sadly, you may have found the right lawyer in Jessica Hess.

Darlene is a demure yet fiercely determined attorney, known for her unwavering dedication and didactic approach. Unapologetic in her pursuit of justice, she fearlessly takes on the fight against those responsible for harm to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP). Together with her devoted team, Darlene tackles some of the most difficult and heartbreaking cases. She has set a powerful precedent—encouraging others to stand up, speak out, and be a voice for the voiceless.✊🏽🙏🏽❤️ Winyan Pascha

I met Darlene Gomez in her offices over a year ago when she was gracious enough to spend time discussing an art project about missing and murdered Indigenous women that I’m working on with a local Diné woman. Our discussion was enormously valuable. I remain deeply impressed by Ms Gomez’s commitment to the cause of MMIW; also by her determination to the find lost daughters that the media and law enforcement often seem to have forgotten about. The image below is one of hundreds in our collaborative multimedia project, They Had No Time to Say Goodbye. Thanks, in part, to Darlene Gomez’s input it has moved from conception to a state close to completion.
