Charges by the hour (for emails and phone calls), offering advice a therapist could provide. Then, files suit for payment against their own client when unable to collect the child support laid out in initial custody agreement.. using the full extent of the law against you -- not for you. It's a brilliant business model, questionable ethics.. "The Family Law & Divorce Lawyers & Attorneys industry in the US is a significant market, with an estimated size of $13.2 billion in 2025.." I paid the $5k retainer. When that ran you, along with ANY progress in the case, you continued to charge me an hourly rate (not result rate). Then, you found it easier to sue me than my ex-wife. DO BETTER.
Working with Allison Gerli and our whole collaborative divorce team was a wonderful experience. I felt very supported through the entire process, especially having the coach (therapist) present during meetings. She made what could've been a very sterile, de-humanizing process feel warm and supportive. The entire team worked together to help us come to the best outcome for our kids and ourselves. And we never had to step foot in court! I recommend the collaborative divorce process to anyone who thinks it might help them. I'm so grateful to Allison Gerli and The Center for Family Law for making everything as easy and smooth as possible.

My experience with Hallie and Katie has been wonderful. From the very first phone call, Hallie was so understanding of my situation and willing to offer solutions. When I was ready to deal with my divorce, they were there for me every step of the way. They helped make, what I thought would be an excruciating process, one of seamless ease. Granted, my divorce was uncontested, no children involved, and we had been separated for two years. Still, it was still a load off my mind knowing the paperwork was being done right, everything was submitted in a timely fashion, and when I called with questions, they were there when I needed them.
