Albers & Associates are top notch professionals. Hands down. I cannot speak highly enough of this firm. I worked with attorney Samantha Boylan, who took my case on short notice, less than a month out from a court date for a very contentious and tragic divorce/ custody trial. From my very first phone call with Samantha after I left a request for service, I was breathing easier. I would like to add that as soon as I picked up and said hello, Samantha was already using Maryland's case search to look up my case and get a rough idea of what I was facing ( a confusing and frustrating case with a mentally unwell spouse). She immediately had me at ease and after taking the case, I literally was able to sleep that night for the first time in days. I had called so many other firms and so many of those lawyers would talk in the consultation like they were asleep or had no interest in what you would say until they want to hear your response from their retainer spiel. That is not the case with Albers & Associates. After that Samantha was very clear and concise in making a plan, keeping me informed of that plan and letting me know what exactly she needed from me to build our case. As my daughters safety was at stake this was very reassuring. I had used another law firm at the start of this case and then dispensed with them during an almost year gap between important court dates. This was not a problem either for Samantha. I was very impressed with her ability to learn the case in and out. On the day of the trial ( it was slated for two days) Samantha had a solid plan, well organized and detailed, and exercised what I would say in my laymens opinion was excellent courtroom decorum and maintained her composure when confronted with my ex's antics. I would like to add that myself and my family who were there, were extremely impressed with her court performance and more so her compassion and understanding that my ex was not mentally well, and was completely in agreement that an aggressive stance was not needed nor called for. I find that kind of humility and kindness to be very admirable for an attorney. Needless to say though, she achieved all of our of our objectives including the granting of sole custody to myself of the daughter I share with my ex, the securing of financial assets and gaining me use and possession of my home. I would like to mention that the two day trial was finished in about two hours thanks to Samantha's expertise, guidance and strategy.
