Cosho Humphrey, LLP
I’ve consulted with Stan Welsh on a couple of occasions at the recommendation of a local family law expert, and each time he’s been ethical, accessible, and refreshingly up front about his recommendations. He’s someone I believe is deeply respected in the legal community—and for good reason. Stan carries a quiet authority that’s immediately noticeable. His thoughtful, reserved approach makes him incredibly effective with judges and other attorneys—he’s someone people trust. He knows the law inside and out and communicates with clarity, confidence, and integrity. If you’re looking for someone steady, experienced, and principled, I highly recommend Stan Welsh.
As an attorney myself, I can state Mackenzie Whatcott is one of the best family law lawyers in the Treasure Valley. She is highly knowledgeable, terrific in the courtroom, and well respected by her peers and judges. I definitely recommend her.
Erika Klein has represented me twice and both times I could not have been happier with her work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to my case. I am grateful for the guidance and perspective she provided me as I navigated scenarios that I had never experienced. Her expertise and advice always proved to be the best path forward. She maintained a calming, steady demeanor centered around logic and compassion. Erika explained the law, precedent, and the implications to my case thoroughly and thoughtfully. Erika was always available to speak to me and was exceptionally prompt in all correspondence related to my case. I could not be more grateful for her representation. I would (and have) recommend her to anyone seeking legal counsel.
Stan Welsh is the worst attorney ever! He does not listen to his client and is only interested in billing you for the most money possible. If you have children you are fighting to protect he will sell you out and ruin your family forever. There are not enough horrible things I can say to describe him and his unethical practice. He should be disbarred and forced to make reparations to the families he has destroyed. I only hope there is a special place for someone like him to answer for all the unforgivable things he has done. I only clicked on one star so I could post this entry.
Erika Klein was recommended to me by someone who had Erika represent them in a long, drawn-out, expensive child custody battle. That should have been a red flag in retrospect, because Erika dragged my case out too...unnecessarily. Erika gave bad legal advice and did not have proper attention to detail, then lined her pockets when her missteps caused several extra rounds of negotiations. The additional negotiations that stemmed from Erika’s poor lawyering earned her an extra $1.9K, by the way. Overall I found her to be incredibly unprofessional and not nearly as knowledgeable in family law and contract law as she claimed to be. Don’t just rely on my opinion, ask around the legal community and you will get a better sense of Erika Klein’s reputation and character.
