Most unethical lawyer out here. She will move your appointments and court hearings for “non-payment” even if you pay prior to the court dates. Paid this lawyer $12,000 within 5 months, had a court hearing late October, was billed in November even more money. I decide I’ll wait till January 1st to make the payment so my kids can have a Christmas after I just spent thousands and thousands with her firm. Mind you our hearing isn’t till the end of January. Call in January to make a payment and they send another invoice for $400. I’m confused as to we haven’t even had contact other than them spam calling me several times a day trying to get money. Turns out she billed me $400 for her filling to withdraw as my attorney… which by the way is ILLEGAL. I will be reporting to you to the board for your unethical practice. You cannot move people’s appointments for “non-payment” which by the way…. I was paying you guys. You’re the greediest worst lawyer. Waste your money somewhere else. I’m still going through the divorce all that money spent and I never got support or anything completed in my case
Lauren and this entire law firm will rob you and lie you. I hired Lauren 4 years ago for a separation. She charged me for a legal divorce when I was never legally married. She also kept telling me “my case was going to court” when we never had a court date. She is messy and talks a good game but fails to follow through. I fired her and she still took the rest of my money to “close the case”. She’s an absolute joke. Do not hire these people. Worst experience EVER.

You’re never in a good situation unfortunately when having to hire a family law attorney, I was scared and in a high conflict situation with my ex over custody. Anytime I had a question or wanted an update I could call or email and she is always quick to respond. All paperwork was always turned in on time or early. I appreciated all the updates and if there was ever a change Ericka always kept me informed and in the loop. I can’t forget Caroline! If Ericka or Lauren wasn’t available Caroline tried absolutely everything to get me an answer or make sure to take note and rely the message. Although I’ve only spoken to her on the phone she was always so kind and helpful in every way. I recommend this Law Office to anyone needing help in a family law case, they take care of their clients and I have been extremely happy with their work. I can’t thank them enough for all that they’ve done and how much stress they have relieved from my life.
My ex retained an attorney that was well known to be a pain and EXTREMELY hostile to opposing counsel. I interviewed several attorneys that refused to take my case due to opposing counsel. Steve was recommended by one of the attorneys I interviewed. I ended up retaining Steve and ended up with a great settlement. He also gave back the portion of his retainer that he didn't use. Highly recommend retaining Steve in your divorce proceeding.
I have had exceptional representation by both Mr. Cohen and Ms. Patterson over the last 7 years. Although my divorce was finalized over 5 years ago, I have had to retain their services for ongoing issues with my ex-husband. They exude professionalism and are quick to respond to questions and concerns. I have been thoroughly impressed with my counsel. I'm shocked that some recent reviews suggest that they are a scam because they had to pay money "upfront"...this is called a retainer and is standard with any attorney. Attorneys charge for their time - from correspondence to court appearance. Again, this is standard. Mr. Cohen and Ms. Patterson are excellent attorneys who work diligently to represent their clients. I have referred numerous people to them and will continue to do so, as they are, in my opinion, the best in the IE.
