From my experience - and that of my advisory team - KTS isn't a law firm, they're the attack dog property managers unleash when they don't want to deal with their own mistakes. I've now been contacted by two different KTS attorneys, Taylor M. and Dorothy B., simply for exercising my rights as a tenant. After I disputed a blatantly inaccurate notice and raised legitimate concerns with my landlord, Greystar, KTS swooped in with legal intimidation instead of resolution. Taylor M. sent the first letter - full of misinformation and legal stretches so transparent, even I, a tenant with no law degree, could spot the nonsense. Then came Dorothy B. Who wrote a false 3 day notice for over 2 grand, when for almost 2 months even my dispute (her client) had record of me actually having a CREDIT on my rent ledger. Dorothy at that point personally sent me a letter, even though I told her firm not to contact me unless required by law. A letter that spun the truth in a manipulative way, placing blame on me - the tenant in good standing - when in reality, the entire issue stemmed from management's own utility billing error. She responded to a bogus 3-day notice with another layer of distortion, as if I'd done something wrong for asking for clarity. I didn't. She did this AFTER I had specifically told her firm not to contact me unless required by law - which she absolutely was NOT. But she clearly felt important enough to step over my boundary with zero respect and all twisted blame. Let me spell it out since clarity seems to be a struggle for kts: Disputing a blatantly false 3-Day Notice is not an invitation to be harassed by your bottom-feeding law firm. I never initiated legal action, and nothing about my protected tenant communication required - or justified - a response from your legal team. Certainly not after I told my property and landlord The Casas, Greystar, and kts (multiple lawyers) DIRECTLY to not contact me through legal counsel unless required BY LAW. I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the California State Bar - against both Dorothy B. and Taylor M. directly…and the firm itself. This isn't legal service - it's soft intimidation, used to silence tenants who know their rights. In my experience, KTS enables poor property management by covering for their mistakes and turning minor disputes into legal threats. If your landlord calls them in, it says more about your landlord than it does about you.

Wish I could give zero stars. This place charges interest on move out expenses from apartment communities. They literally try and burden people even more in times when they are struggling. They never even sent a breakdown of what I owed and why. Just shady and anyone who works here needs to take a hard look at their livelihood.

Extremely fraudulent company. 40k was put on my husbands and I credit report neither me or our lawyer have been able to reach them by phone nor have we received a written response after sending 3 letters. I look forward to this company having its day in court and being dismantled. Terrible business practices

I spoke to Daniel McCandless this morning - he was not very pleasant. I found his name through a case he had worked on previously and I asked him about that case. He provided very brusque, one word answers and he said the case was long - "it took 6-7 months" and that he "doesn't remember the outcome of the case". I was inquiring about the case because my aunt is unfortunately experiencing something similar. I told my aunt about my conversation with him, and she said she had reached out to him previously as well and that he was very rude to her. I'd steer clear of this guy. In addition to the fact that he is just a mean individual, he is also seemingly incompetent if he doesn't remember (or even try to look into) how one of his own cases ended.

So I trying to hold on to this legal department regarding my situation with the Terrace Apartment in Santa Clarita. The office has been notified that I have to pay a move out fee and some other fees, even though this legal department sent me a document stating that I have to move out if I don’t remove out my emotional support dog. However they going to break our lease. So we moved out with our dog. Now the office wanted us to pay a broken lease which is not fair and I don’t understand isn’t the legal department and the office they have to have a communication between them. Now the office wants me to contact this department and have resent me all the documents so I can take them to them. Is this legal department is a scam or a joke . If they don’t resolve me I have to contact LA county house authority or a civil right department
