Please see my previous reviews. I received ANOTHER bill from Seabrook Law Offices today. Seabrook Law Offices, At this point, it feels like your firm is punishing me—sending me one false charge after another for mistakes that never should have happened had Gabriella and Pamela done their jobs with even basic diligence. I asked for help repeatedly. I pleaded. And instead of help, I received silence… and now bills. This isn’t just negligence anymore. It’s cruel. Paul, I sat across from you, vulnerable and terrified, and you looked me in the eyes and told me I was safe. You told me I had the right people behind me. You handed your phone to my daughter to watch Ice Age so we could keep talking. You knew I was desperate. I scraped together the money that very afternoon because I believed in you. I believed you would protect us. Gabriella, you shared your stories with me. I truly thought you understood. I thought you would stand with me through the worst of it. Instead, the moment things got hard with my husband, you gave up on me, on my case, on my daughter. Pamela, you and I agreed: If I could pay $2,000 per month, I’d remain in good standing. But I paid $4,800, and still, you walked away. You left me hanging—withheld my files for a full month, even after I begged again and again and again. You both saw the videos and you read the accounts of my husband's abuses. You saw me fall apart in your office, terrified that I would lose my three-year-old child. And still, I’m not just fighting him… Now I’m fighting you. The microcharges you keep sending me feel less like clerical errors and more like punishment. Retaliation. Some twisted reminder that I’m alone in this. You called me, said you wanted to make it right, but nothing happened. No correction, no closure. Just another bill. You owe me $280 for services I never received and should never have been charged for. I want that money returned, and I ask—no, I insist—that you stop billing me for these inappropriate charges. The truth is, you never cared. And you never will. I hope your next client—another desperate mother, another victim—gets the commitment, the integrity, the compassion I was promised and never received. Disappointed. Heartbroken. Disgusted.

UPDATE: A client representative from Seabrook Law Firm called and asked if refunding $4,000 would resolve my concerns. I made it clear I am requesting a full refund of $12,300, including the original retainer, due to the firm's serious mishandling of my case. Even their own leadership acknowledged that my attorney failed to perform due diligence. I was told they would speak with Paul Seabrook and follow up. Instead, later that afternoon, I received an additional invoice for $314--with no explanation--charging me for a pleading that was rejected by the Alameda County Courthouse. This shows a complete lack of accountability. While some clients may have had smooth experiences, this firm is clearly unfit to handle complex, high-conflict family law matters, especially those involving abuse or narcissistic partners. They took my money, ignored clear red flags, and left me unprotected--forcing me to find new counsel and start over. I personally met with Paul Seabrook, shared the years of abuse my children and I endured, and was promised help. That promise was empty. This firm took my money and failed me at every step. If you are facing an abusive or high-conflict divorce, do not hire this firm. They are not trauma-informed, they are not thorough, and they will leave you financially and emotionally drained. This level of negligence and disregard for vulnerable clients is absolutely unacceptable. PROCEED WITH CAUTION! _______________ I am reporting Seabrook Law Firm and my former attorneys to the California State Bar Association. BE AWARE. This firm failed lost a $4,000 payment that was made on behalf and then refused to return my original documents and case file, despite multiple requests FOR ALMOST A MONTH. I was pressured into accepting an agreement that should never have been finalized, and I was later charged for additional services that were unnecessary and unauthorized. When I raised these issues, I was repeatedly ignored. I was also left to appear in front of a judge with inaccurate information provided by the firm—something that can seriously damage credibility and outcomes in family court. Seabrook Law Firm has violated California Rules of Professional Conduct, Rule 1.16(e)(1), which requires attorneys to return all client materials upon termination of representation: "Subject to any protective order or non-disclosure obligation imposed by law, a lawyer shall, promptly upon the termination of a representation, release to the client, at the request of the client, all client materials and property." This firm left me in a worse position than when I hired them. They will not support you when it matters most. Craig Darling and Sylvia Gonzalez handled my case with so much empathy and fought hard for me. Sylvia was my cheerleader in the corner, while Craig got me back more time with my sons. I now can travel internationally on vacations and have peace from constant harassing allegations from a hostile coparent. The biggest win was more time with my children who are the joys of my life. I could have been ordered to pay $3,000 a month towards my coparent that refuses to maintain steady employment, but Craig fought for my pocketbook as well. He reduced my child support obligation significantly to only $500 a month. Many wins for your family when you choose this firm. I will always go back to them for any needed modification or violation of order. If you have a narcissistic coparent - this is the firm for you. They help establish firm boundaries and protect your mental health. Gabriella helped me get more custody so I have an equal time share after years of fighting a person who wanted to alienate my from my sons! Highly suggest Seabrook. They get it done!
